New Dunia (Dantewada): On Saturday, the police’s Lone Varattu (home return campaign) in Dantewada, Chhattisgarh, was a huge success. 16 Naxalites surrendered at the district’s Kirandul police station. The Gangalur Area (West Bastar) Committee was home to all of the dedicated Naxalites. The surrendered Naxalites told the police that leaving the Naxalite leaders’ empty ideology meant joining the mainstream.

In the year 2020, the Dantewada Police launched the Ghar Wapsi programme. The police pasted the names of the Naxalites active in the district. Since then, Dantewada’s loan Varattu campaign has been a resounding success. Under this homecoming campaign, members of the mass militia, including rewarded Naxalites, Naxalites linked with the village committee, and the other wing of the Naxalite organisation, are surrendering.

At Kirandul police station on Saturday, SDOP Karan Kumar Uike, Kirandul police station sub-inspector Shashikant Tandon, and other police personnel were there. Dr. Abhishek Pallav, SP Dantewada, is constantly pleading with the Naxalites to surrender. In the district, 475 Naxalites have surrendered so far.
