2 Terrorists Gunned Down in J&K Encounter

Jammu and Kashmir: Security forces killed 2 terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Bandipora and Anantnag on Sunday night. In Shahgund Bandipora, he was involved in the recent civilian slaughter. Imtiyaz Ahmad Dar, the slain terrorist in Bandipora, has been identified.. Dar was involved in the killing of a civilian in Shahgund, according to IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar. He was associated with The Resistance Front (TRF), a shadow organization of Pakistan’s Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).
Another terrorist was slain by security personnel in Anantnag. Security personnel conducted a cordon and search operation at Khagund in Anantnag, according to police, after receiving information regarding the presence of terrorists there. According to the Jammu and Kashmir Police security personnel had received specific information regarding the presence of terrorists in the vicinity. Terrorists opened fire on security officers, prompting reaction, turning the search into an encounter. One terrorist was killed while a policeman suffered injuries.
Terrorists killed 3 civilians in separate incidents in the Union Territory earlier on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the recent killings of civilians in Jammu and Kashmir serve as a sobering reminder to minorities that they remain easy targets for terrorists. According to IG Kashmir Vijay Kumar, a total of 28 civilians have been killed by terrorists in 2021. 5 of the people were members of the local Hindu/Sikh community, while the other 2 were Hindu labourers from outside the area.
