Madhya Pradesh: 60 Year Old Woman Gang Raped in Singrauli District

Madhya Pradesh: A 60 year old woman was allegedly raped by five men including 4 minors in Madhya Pradesh’s Singrauli district. The incident occurred on the night of August 14 at the railway crossing under the Jayant police outpost.

Police officials have arrested five accused who were reportedly intoxicated whilst committing the crime. Out of the five arrested, the adult is identified to be 24 years of age.

As per the complaint, the victim is a resident of Morwa Police Station area of the district. Police outpost in-charge, Abhimanyu Dwivedi informed that the victim was attacked on Sunday, whilst she was returning from her sister’s house. He further informed that the victim had rushed to the police station after the accused fled. A case was filed based on her complaint and the police initiated the hunt.

The crime spot near the railway crossing was examined on Monday. Suspicious movement of some youngsters was recalled by people working near the crime spot after which two minors were detained. The minors were identified by the victim and the two revealed the identity of the remaining three accused, said police officials.
