Kabul: As soon as the Taliban terrorists got control of the Afghan province, their president Ashraf Ghani fled the country. This resulted in people from countries around the globe remaining stranded in the country with no good evacuation strategies. The US embassy has also been evacuated and all flight operations from Britain, Dubai, etc. have also been suspended.

India, on the other hand, has taken an unparalleled decision in keeping its countrymen safe in the foreign land. The air India crew has not canceled the Kabul-bound flight operations that occur once a day; instead, they rescheduled it from 8.30 am to 12.30 pm.

Some sources revealed that the road to Kabul airport has been facing severe blockage due to a massive number of people trying to fly out of the country. But the Indian government is reluctant to return its people safe from the Taliban attacked nation and thus, it has kept 2 Air India crafts on standby in case there is an emergency.

“Two aircraft with a proper set of the flight crew are on standby for Kabul evacuation. The government is monitoring the situation very closely.  The passengers, as well as the airline staff, are facing severe and challenging conditions to reach the airport”, said Govt officials.

The ministry of external affairs, the air India association, and the ministry of civil aviation are in continuous communication to make things fall into place. The ICPA crew assured that their pilots and crew members are ready to fly amidst the turmoil situation of Afghanistan.

In a letter to Jyotiraditya Scindia, the aviation minister of India, the general secretary of ICPA wrote, “We would like to inform you that our pilots are ready to operate Evacuation Flights in the service of our country. Our pilots are ready and willing to go above and beyond to evacuate our Indians. Being a Patriotic and responsible union, the ICPA would extend complete support and cooperation to evacuate the precious lives of the people of our country from Afghanistan. You can count on us”. Let’s pray for a safe return of our Indian brothers and sisters from the Taliban clasp.
