Ananta Chaturdashi Procession Delayed in Raipur

- District officials postpone Ananta Chaturdashi procession.
- Cited rain and stagnant water as the reason.

Raipur: The Raipur district administration has issued a notice to cancel Ananta Chaturdashi processions in view of rainfall and thunderstorms. At a meeting held between district administration and committees at Jaystambh Chowk, it was decided that the tableaux coming from Rajanadgaon were drenched in rain and raised the fear of short circuit.
Additional SP Sukhnandan Pathore interacting with the media confirmed the postponment of the procession. As per the new notice , the procession will now be taken out on the evening of 12 Sept instead of today.
He has added that the adminstration has decided to clear all water stagnant areas that fall on the way of the Jhanki.
