The match between Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings is jeopardized after another foreign player in the former team tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday as the team underwent the routine tests scheduled.

New Zealand’s Tim Seifert, is the latest player to get affected by COVID-19. According to reports coming out of Mumbai, it seems that the Board of Control for Cricket in India has told the franchise that their medical team will be conducting a fresh round of tests before taking a decision on the game. It is likely that the game will go ahead if the rest of the group test negative for Covid.

Delhi Capitals were put into quarantine after a series of COVID cases spurt in the team. Beginning with Physiotherapist Patrick Farhat, four others resulted positive from their bio bubble. Australian player, Mitchell Marsh was hospitalized after his symptoms aggravated.

The match venue was shifted to Mumbai from Pune after the staff and players were quarantined in individual rooms once the infection broke. The teams are expected to lock horns today from 7:30 pm at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai.
