Ashish Mishra Summoned for Questioning by UP Police

Lucknow: Son of Union Minister Ashish Mishra accused of running a vehicle on the farmers in Lakhimpur Kheri on Sunday has been summoned by the cops for questioning.
Briefing the media about the latest development in the case, Lucknow IG Lakshmi Singh stated that two people were being questioned who had several insights into the incident. “Two people are being questioned. They’ve confirmed the role of three others who are dead. Technically, they have also been accounted for. These people are giving a lot of information. We are sending summon to the main accused (Ashish Mishra) for questioning,” Singh said. She further added that no incidents of firing or any firearm injuries were confirmed yet. Sources reveal that 2 bullet shells were also recovered from the violence site.
After gaining much political mileage, several political leaders visited the violence-hit district. Navjot Singh Sidhu and other party leaders were stooped at the Saharanpur border by the cops while on their way to Lakhimpur Kheri. The state administration permitted only five leaders to proceed further while Navjot Singh remained adamant to move with the cavalcade.
