Baghel Leaves for Lucknow Along with Rahul Gandhi
- CM Baghel boarded the Lucknow bound flight with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Punjab CM.
- Would land at the airport at 1:30 pm.
- Will visit Lakhimpur Kheri by road.
New Delhi: Citing the visiting of political figurines from TMC and UP, Congress National General Secretary KC Venugopal in a written letter on Tuesday sought permission from the UP govt for the visit of the delegation on Wednesday.
Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel along with Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi today boarded a Lucknow bound Indigo flight at 12:20 from Delhi. Punjab Deputy CM also accompanied CM Baghel and Rahul Gandhi. The Congress delegation is scheduled to land at Lucknow airport by 1:25 pm following which they would head towards Lakhimpur Kheri by road. This decision to visit the violence-hit district came after a series of meetings held amongst the senior members of the Congress party on Tuesday evening.
Baghels’s advisor Vinod Verma took to his social media handle on Tuesday criticizing the Yogi Adityanath Govt. His post read , “Yogi government is going to be hit by hatha yogis. Tomorrow two chief ministers Bhupesh Baghel and Charanjit Singh Channi have their leader Rahul.” Coming back to Lucknow with Gandhi. Want to go to Lakhimpur. Democracy and dictatorship will have a face-off again.”
Earlier on Tuesday CM Baghel had arrived at the Lucknow airport but was restrained from visiting Lucknow. After which he held a prss coneference via Zoom staging a sit-in at the airport for three hours.
