Raipur: CM Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday morning departed to Tamil Nadu to join Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan counter parts M.K. Stalin and Ashok Gehlot in handing over the Indian flag to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi at Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu.

Interacting with the media at the Swami Vivekananda Airport Baghel attacked Assam CM Himanta Biswas who targeted Rahul Gandhi asking him to go to Pakistan. The leader had tweeted moments from during the independence when Rajiv Gandhi had decided to hold a Bharat Jodo yatra.

The tweet also received criticism from Rajashtahn CM Gehlot.

Hitting out on Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma over his “Congress should go to Pakistan for ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra” remark, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot said, “Such opportunists shouldn’t be taken seriously. It’s a different matter that he has become a Chief Minister.”
