Biden Receives COVID Booster Live on Camera

Washington: US Prez Joe Biden on Monday received his booster dose of COVID-19 vaccination at the White House. This booster dose session comes after Biden qualified for the additional dose of the vaccine under the new guidelines issued last week. The Senate Chief also delivered his remarks on the fight against COVID at 1700 GMT, where he exclaimed the opportunities the US had to help every nation across the globe to vaccinate its 100% population.
Ahead of his vaccination encouraging fellow mates of US, Biden said, “We know that to beat this pandemic and to save lives.. we need to get folks vaccinated.” Biden had got his first dose of Pfizer last December and the last one in January when he was elected the president.
Centre for Diseases Centre (CDC) on Friday had issued renewed guidelines according to which distribution of Pfizer and BioNTech’s COVID-19 booster shots for those in high risk occupational and institutional settings was approved. CDC Director Dr Rochelle Walensky also approved to administer booster doses to older Americans and adults with underlying health conditions in the past six months post their first series of shots in accordance with the advisory panel.
So far nearly 60 million individuals out of the 100 million residing in America who originally received the Pfizer and the BioNTech shots are now eligible for the booster dose. According to the data compiled by CDC, roughly 2.6 million Americans have received their extra shot of COVID Vaccine after the top health body gave a nod.
