Kabul: Residents in the Spin Ghar district of Nangarhar province in eastern Afghanistan said an explosion hit a mosque during Friday prayers, hurting at least 12 people, including a local mullah.
According to Atal Shinwari, a local neighbour, the explosion happened about 1:30 p.m., when explosives in the mosque’s interior detonated. Another local shared a similar story.
