Welcoming the 75th Independence day, the Bollywood celebrities set the mood for the national festival on social media. From hoisting the flag to the tricolour sartorial choices, people on August 15 honour the nation that has heroically struggled and fought against oppression throughout history leaving no stone unturned.
Celebrities have joined Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign to commemorate the historic day by adopting the Tricolor as a display image.
Superstar Rajnikanth, who is not an active social media user, made sure to take part in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Abhiyaan. Days after visiting Delhi in honour of the 75th anniversary of Independence, he posted a photo of the national flag as his Twitter profile picture.
Veteran actor Anupam Kher updated his profile picture on August 2 with a photo of himself standing close to the Indian flag and shared the same on Twitter.
Varun Dhawan too changed his Instagram profile picture to the Tricolour, like other actors.
In order to show respect for the country, Ajay Devgan not only changed his Twitter profile picture to the Tricolour but also urged his fellow citizens to do the same.
Sidharth Malhotra, whose movie “Shershaah” sparked a sense of patriotism, also changed his Instagram and Twitter profile pictures to the tricolour.
Recently, Malayalam Superstar Mammootty changed his Twitter profile picture to a Tiranga and mentioned the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign of the Prime Minister through a Twitter Post.
