NEW DELHI: 2023 seems to be wicked for an epicurean foodie the OMCs on the 1st Jan hiked the commercial LPG cylinder prices by Rs25 across the country. The hike will now hit the restaurant owners which would pass on to the consumers making dining out or ordering more expensive.
As per the revised rates, the 19kg LPG cylinder will now cost Rs 1768 in Delhi, Rs 1721and Rs 1870 in Mumbai and Kolkata respectively. However, the rates of domestic LPG remain unchanged. The price of the 14 kg LPG had a big jump in 2014 from Rs 410 per cylinder to Rs 1000 when the BJP govt took over the reins.
Cooking gas prices in India in 2022 have been revised quite a few times. The centre has several times accused the rising international crude oil prices for the fuel hike in the country.
