CG Produces Electricity from Confiscated Cannabis
- Electricity to be generated from cannabis for the first time in the state.

Bilaspur: For the first time, the CG administration generated electricity using cannabis.
Police personnel on the instruction of the Chairman of the Durg Disposal Committee, Bilaspur range IG Ratanlal Dangi and SP Parul Mathur, and Korban SP Bhojraj burnt around 11 tonnes of confiscated Ganja in the biomass plant in order to generate electricity.
As per information by an insider, the burnt cannabis was seized from Bilaspur, Raigarh, Korba, Janjgir, Mungeli and Gaurela Pendra Marwahi regions.
In a media interaction, Bilaspur IG Ratanlal Dangi highlighting the attempt said, -this will be the first time a large quantity of Ganja was destroyed by the police department.
