Chandigarh University Shut Down; Hostel Warden Suspended

New Delhi: The Chandigarh University in view of massive protests today suspended the girl’s hostel warden Rajvinder Kaur for alleged misbehaviour with the students an official said on Monday. As a part of the latest development, the university is also shut down until Saturday, 24th September. Following an assurance from the administration and the police, students ended their protests this morning.
A video of the hostel warden confronting the arrested girl accused of sharing the videos has been making rounds on social media. It is further learnt that she also scolded the girls when they began the protests.
So far the Chandigarh police have arrested three including the girl, her boyfriend and another man an employee at a private bakery whose role in the leak of the objectionable videos is yet unknown. The girls’ boyfriend as per investigation is a resident of Shimla and is employed as a travel agent.
As per probe reports, four videos have been found on the phone of the woman student arrested for sharing obscene clippings from the hostel premises.
