Raipur: A meeting of the State Council of ministers was held today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel where many important decisions have been stamped. The meeting was held at the chief minister’s residence and the cabinet has approved the paddy procurement policy for 2022-23 as recommended by the Cabinet Sub-Committee.
Under the Paddy Procurement Policy, the Chhattisgarh government is all set to buy 110 lakh metric tonnes of paddy this year at a support price. The state government has been battling the crisis of gunny bags for two years and has given the approval to take paddy in old gunny bags from the beginning.
Apart from this, the decision to remove the ban on transfer employees. The meeting shall also lay the decision to remove a ban on transfers of employees. The cabinet may also decide to give a compassionate appointment to late pilot Gopal Krishna Panda’s wife. There are also drafts of some bills put up for presentation in the monsoon session and have been brought up for discussion.
