Raipur: The Anti-corruption Bureau has arrested Dr N.K. Agarwal, Assistant Director, Public Education Institute, Raipur Division in case of accepting a bribe.
Sources reveal that accused Dr N.K. Agarwal was under discrete observation after ACB had received a complaint against him. ACB officials on Friday afternoon arrested Dr Agarwal from his office.
Meanwhile, it is also reported that Bilaigarh Education Department accountant Rathlal Banjare alias Babu has also been caught red-handed by the ACB officials. It is reported that Babu had demanded a sum of Rs 15,000 from a teacher’s son in lieu of releasing his father’s pension arrears.
Both the arrested employees were under discrete surveillance by the ACB officials and were caught while accepting the bribe.
