Chhattisgarh government decides to give bonus amount to farmers in the month of May

Raipur: Amid of corona havoc in all over the state, there is  good news for the farmers of Chhattisgarh. The state government has decided to give paddy bonus amount to the farmers. Agriculture Minister Ravindra Choubey told reporters in a video conferencing today that Under Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, the difference amount or bonus amount will be distributed to the farmers.

Bhupesh led government has decided that the farmers will be paid the difference of support price of paddy crops from the month of May.The support price of paddy crops was fixed at ₹ 2500 per quintal including bonus. Out of which the first installment of Rs. 1865  and 1815 was already given to farmers. The remaining difference amount will be released by Chhattisgarh government under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana in the month of may.

While having conversation with media reporters in video conference,Agriculture Minister Ravindra Choubey said that Rs 565 crore has been transferred to the farmers’ account as insurance money. An amount of 50 crore has been given to the farmers affected by hailstorm. Minister Choubey said that 70 crore will be paid for the insurance of Kharif crop loss. And they are also Preparing for the short term loan of 52 hundred crore rupees.
