Chhattisgarh Govt Announces Compensation for Bereaved Families
- CM Baghel announced compensation of Rs 50 lakh each to Lakhimpur violence inflicted families.
- Baghel arrived at Lucknow airport along with Mr Gandhi and several other Congress functionaries.

Lucknow: Soon after the UP Govt permitted the Congress delegation to visit Lucknow, CM Baghel along with Rahul Gandhi and Punjab CM Charanjit Singh boarded a Lucknow bound commercial flight.
Interacting with the media reporters at the Amausi Airport CM Baghel stated to provide financial assistance of Rs 50 Lakh each for the bereaved farmer families and the journalist who died in the violence in Lakhimpur Kheri.
Following this Former President Rahul Gandhi staged a 20-minute dharna for being restricted from using his personal vehicle to visit Lakhimpur. After much of a scuffle, the Congress convoy left for Lakhimpur Kheri.
Earlier during the day, Ms Priyanka was released from the Sitapur guesthouse and permitted to visit the Lakhimpur Kheri district along with Rahul Gandhi and allies. The Lucknow airport witnessed a large scale gathering of party members and well-wishers of the Congress Party who arrived to welcome Rahul Gandhi.
