Raipur: Almost after a week of sporadic rain and hailstorm, the sunshine of relief has come out for Chhattisgarh today as the weather has cleared in many districts including Raipur. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the wind direction is changing and the weather will be clear in the entire state from tomorrow. This comes as a great relief for paddy farmers who were worried about paddy procurement being shut down due to rain.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has given great assurance to these horrified farmers and said that farmers need not worry about the situation of paddy procurement being affected due to the bad weather. He further assured that as soon as the weather improves, paddy procurement will be expedited in the procurement centers.
CM Baghel has declared January 31 as the last date for procurement of paddy in the state. During this period, it will be the endeavor of the state government to purchase 100 per cent of paddy from the farmers of their registered area and provide them with support price
