Raipur: Its raining birthday wishes for Chattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel. Opinionated as internal competitor, State Health Minister TS Singh Deo reached the Chief Minister’ residence.
Earlier in the day, PM Modi also extended birthday wishes to Bhupesh Baghel on Twitter.
Bhupesh Baghel who turns 61 today also took to his twitter handle to thank his family and party members for the birthday wishes.
On the ocassion of his birthday, an open house interaction was announced at his residence in Civil lines. Public representatives, and local people were permitted to interact with the CM. No prior appointment was required.
Bhupesh Baghel took over the reigns of Chhattisgarh in 2018. He is the first MLA to have been elected as the successor of the BJP led govt by Dr Raman Singh. He defeated BJP nominated Motilala Sahu contesting from Patan constituency with 9343 votes.
He has been member of legislative assembly five times from Patan. He had been cabinet minister in undivided Madhya Pradesh in Digvijaya Singh government in late nineties. Baghel was also the first Minister for Revenue, Public Health Engineering and Relief Work of Chhattisgarh.
