Raipur: According to Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, ground water conservation projects in both non-forest and forest regions should be prioritised under Narva development. The CAMPA item’s work in the forest areas provides major chances for employment generation for forest residents, tribals, and communities in the surrounding areas. The second meeting of the Chhattisgarh Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority (CAMPA) was convened on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Baghel.
During the meeting, he directed that all authorised works be completed as soon as possible by making better use of the state’s CAMPA items. Along with forest protection, a focus was placed on wildlife protection and the development of minor forest products, as well as their conservation and promotion. He also ordered that compensation be distributed as soon as possible in cases of death, agricultural damage, and property loss caused by wild elephants in the state. The Chief Minister gave his approval to the idea to use lidar technology to create proposals for distant forestry in the state and requested that it be conveyed to the Centre. Projects for remote places can be created utilising mapping based on scientific approaches.
