On Saturday at 11:30 AM, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan transferred Rs.1540 crore to the accounts of 77 lakh farmers. This sum was provided through the Chief Minister’s Kisan Kalyan Yojana scheme. Minto Hall has been set aside for this purpose. It’s worth noting that Chief Minister Kisan Kalyan Yojana provides farmers with cash assistance of Rs 4,000 per year. This aid is distributed in 2 instalments over a year. This program has virtually involved farmers, bureaucrats, and public figures.
The Chief Minister Kisan Kalyan Yojana, he remarked, is a windfall for small farmers. He stated that the state has 77 lakh farmers, but only 24 lakh of them are eligible for the minimum support price. Farmers with half an acre of land receive Rs 6,000 per year from the central government under the Pradhan Mantri Yojana. So far, roughly Rs 8,465 crore has been distributed to 77 lakh farmers under the initiative. More than 90 lakh metric tonnes of wheat and more than 1 lakh metric tonnes of gram have been purchased, according to Chouhan.
PM Narendra Modi had launched the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana and had begun the process of depositing Rs 6,000 into each farmer’s account. “The government has not discriminated against any farmer in providing the incentive, whether small or marginal,” Chouhan added. Despite the state’s difficult economic situation, a total of Rs. 85,000 crore has been placed in the accounts of farmers and other beneficiaries under various schemes, according to the statement.
