Bhopal: The 4-hour-long political drama in Bhopal has ended. BJP’s Huzoor MLA Rameshwar Sharma and Digvijay Singh, who threatened to break the knees of Congressmen, performed Ramdhun according to their respective programs. Due to the blockage of the road, Digvijay could neither go to Rameshwar’s house nor could Rameshwar welcome him at home.
Recently, a video of Rameshwar Sharma went viral. In that, in Katkheda village of Huzur Vidhan Sabha, he was saying that if any Congressman comes in his place, he will break his knees. In response to this, on November 20th, Digvijay Singh said on social media – “I am a Congressman, who has the strength to break my knees? I am a Gandhian. I will answer violence with non-violence. On November 24th, I will meet Mahatma Gandhi’s statue with Rameshwar Sharma. I will go to his house and do Ramdhun for an hour to ask the Lord to give him wisdom.”
To welcome Digvijay at home, the BJP MLA got a huge pavilion installed at his house a day before. He was also given an invitation for halwa-puri. A tent was also set up to welcome Digvijay. Along with the sages and saints, Rameshwar’s supporters were also in large numbers at his residence. On the other hand, Digvijay Singh reached Minto Hall along with former minister PC Sharma and other Congress leaders. Ramdhun was sung there for about 2 hours. Then he went to protest till Rameshwar’s house. Barricading was done at various places on the way. Digvijay Singh and his supporters were stopped by the police, after which Digvijay Singh left the program after sitting in the car.
