CoronaVirus: India recorded highest one day spike; tally rises to 7.6 lakhs
New Delhi: India on Wednesday record highest spike of over 24,000 cases in a single day. The total confirmed cases of Covid-19 in India has reached 7,67,296
On Friday morning, the health ministry data said India reported 24,879 new cases in the last 24 hours —- biggest one-day spike recorded so far. Maharashtra accounted for only 26 per cent of fresh cases on Wednesday.
In this week, India reached the grim milestone of 3rd most affected country. Now, only the US and Brazil are ahead of it.

The death toll from the COVID-19 virus spiraled to 487 in last 24 hours. Coronavirus killed 21,129 people in the country. Maharashtra recorded 198 deaths on Wednesday. Globally, India stands at 8th position in death toll.
The number of active coronavirus patients in the country stood at 2,69,789. Over 61.7% of the total coronavirus patients were recovered from the infection since the outbreak. The number of cured patients surpassed the active COVID-19 patients from the start of unlock 1.0. India stands at 3rd in most recovered from the virus worldwide.
Globally, Over 1.2 Crore coronavirus cases have been recorded . The causalities from COVID-19 increased to 5.49 lakh worldwide. The United States was the worst affected by coronavirus pandemic.
