Coronavirus: T-20 World Cup to be held as schedule; No changes to be made
The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday said the forthcoming T20 World Cup 2020 will "go ahead as scheduled"
SPORTS: Thousands of people have lost their lives worldwide due to coronavirus. The world has come to a standstill due to this epidemic. Many sporting events are also being cancelled due to the outbreak of Corona.
Amid the outbreak of Coronavirus, Cricket Australia (CA) chief Kevin Roberts expects the T20 World Cup to be held in October and November this year on its own schedule.
Cricket.com quoted AU as saying, “We sincerely hope that all types of games can resume in the next few weeks or a few months.” Roberts said, “Obviously none of is expert in predicting future, conditions, so we hope to return to normal conditions in October-November when the T20 World Cup is played.”
Australia successfully organized the Women’s T20 World Cup last month. Due to Coronavirus, all types of cricket activities in Australia have been postponed till further orders.
