Country Races To Contain Coronavirus; Toll Remains below 100 For A Second Day In A Row

New Delhi: On Sunday, 11,431 fresh cases of coronavirus were reported by MoFHW, a slight drop from the previous day’s counts of 12,137. The total count is 1,09,16,172. The novel virus claimed another 87 lives in the previous 24 hours. 

According to the Union Health Ministry; an increase in convalesce individuals by 9,267 accounts for a total of 1,06,19,083 today. The country records 1,36,800 active cases.

Maharashtra witnessed a spike with 4,092 new cases and 40 mortuaries.Kerala maintains its momentum of speedy recovery. While Lakshadweep records zero deaths.

India has tested a total of 20 Cr citizens since the initiation of the pandemic. Meanwhile, the ICMR tested 20, 62, 30, 512 SARs-CoV2 vaccine samples.

The immunization program that began on the 16th of January has immunized 82, 63, 858 individuals under the mega inoculation drive.

The health care workers in Mumbai will be administered the second dose of the vaccine from today onwards. According to the doctors, the second dose of the vaccine will boost the immune system of the body.
