In addition to the pride and happiness of millions of Messi fans witnessing their favorite Football player lifting the trophy, the Indian fans were also enthralled by seeing their very own “Shanti” Deepika Padukone unveiling the FIFA WC Trophy before the match started.

Deepika was seen alongside former Spanish goalkeeper Iker Casillas during the unveiling of the trophy. They escorted the trophy onto the ground. The actress became the 1st Indian ever to do the honor. She took to her Instagram handle to share the moment of pride. She posted a video from her moments in Qatar FIFA WC Final and captioned, “From unveiling the FIFA World Cup Trophy to witnessing one of the greatest games in sporting history, I truly couldn’t have asked for more…”
