Defence Minister Singh Returns Positive to COVID-19
- Singh confirmed infection on Twitter.
- Presented mild symptoms, and had isolated.
- Several politicians have been infected with the virus amidst the surge.
New Delhi: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh became the latest addition to the politicians testing positive to COVID-19. He had undergone a precautionary test as he presented mild symptoms.
Taking to his Twitter handle, Mr Singh confirmed his positivity. The post read- I have tested positive for Corona today with mild symptoms. I am under home quarantine.” He further urged all his close contacts to get themselves tested and take necessary measures.
Singh’s latest address was a webinar wherein 100 new Sainik schools provided opportunities for girls to join the Armed forces.
Recently, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Union Minister of State for Health Bharati Pravin Pawar, MoS for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai, Bihar Deputy Chief ministers, Gujarat Minister of State Narmada, Kalpasar and Fisheries were among those who tested positive.
Politicians across several states have reported being infected with the novel virus. While samples of all of them have been sent for genome sequencing, while they have isolated them.
