Electricity Workers In MP Protest, Expected Blackout In State
Bhopal: Electricity workers throughout Madhya Pradesh have opened a front against government demanding pension. Employees are going to protest for a day in the entire state for not getting pension for the month of September. The protest began at Electricity Gate at Govindpura at 2PM and if the protest continues, there might be a blackout in the state.
In Jabalpur also, the employees made a ruckus as employees gheraoed the headquarters of the power companies, Shakti Bhawan. The petitioners also gave a warning by handing over a memorandum to the officers. The petitioners also warned of a fierce agitation if pension payment is not done today.
55 thousand pensioners of the electricity department have not received pension for the month of September, which they are protesting. The power transmission company has refused to give pension citing lack of budget.
