Entire Puducherry Cabinet Decides to Resign Citing Harassment by Opposition

Ahead of legislative assembly polls designated to happen in Puducherry during May-June this year, the entire cabinet headed by CM Narayanaswamy has decided to resign. The social welfare minister of Puducherry Kandaswamy confirmed this on Tuesday.

Blaming the opposition for harassing the congress eminence, Kandaswamy said in a video, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Puducherry L-G Kiran Bedi have been harassing the Congress government for four and a half years. They are trying to dissolve the regime. We are working to dissolve the cabinet headed by CM Narayanaswamy and win the assembly elections again”.

Such resignations occurred before also when congress MLA John Kumar of Kamaraj Nagar constituency resigned from his post saying “dissatisfaction with the Congress government” as the reason behind his decision. The date of the elections has not yet been finalized by the election commission. It can only be seen how the results work at that time.
