Russia-Ukraine Crisis: In the early hours of the fighting between Russian and Ukrainian forces, two explosions place in the early hours on in Belgorod, the southern Russian region bordering Ukraine, the region’s governor Vyacheslav Gladkov wrote in a social media post. This comes at a time when around 100 civilians were evacuated from a steel plant in Mariupol.

As a result of Russia’s blockade of Ukrainian ports, sea routes cannot be accessed to export Ukrainian grains.
