First Drone School of India Inaugurated in MP

Gwalior: India on Thursday received its first drone school in Gwalior in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The school was inaugurated by CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Union Aviation Minister, Jyotiraditya Scindia. Many tech enthusiasts and service providers also attended the launch sources said.
The school aims to open huge technology opportunities for youngsters. It will create an environment where youth could learn basics about the drone and understand its technical aspects.

The school is set up in MITS Engineering College and will have the Civil Aviation chief as its trustee. The school would provide both short term course of three months and long term courses for a year. As per the eligibility criteria, all Class 12th passed students can take admission.

Interacting with the media, CM Chauhan shed light on the school. He said, “ First drone school in the state has been inaugurated in Gwalior. There’s huge employment potential in this industry as drones can be used for various purposes. He further added that the drone school will bridge the gap between youth and modern technology. “It will also increase employment opportunities and this school will prove to be a milestone in the progress of Madhya Pradesh, along with that of Gwalior,” quoted a media room as a saying by CM.

The Drone School inauguration comes days after the state became the first to organize a “Drone Mela” in December last year. A score of drone manufacturers, service providers, drone enthusiasts and user communities, especially students, farmers attended the event. The programme included drone exhibition, demonstration, industry-user interactions and launches.
