Henichesk- Temporary Capital For Moscow; Following the Fall of Kherson
KYIV: After a strategic failure in the city of Kherson, a Russian media house says Henichesk has been declared temporary administrative capital. Kherson was the first major urban hub to fall after the Russian President ordered Russian troops into Ukraine under what it called- a military drill.
Subseuqeuently, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba pressed Southeast Asian countries for political and material support in his county’s fight against Russia, while accusing Moscow on Saturday of playing “hunger games” with the world by holding up shipments of Ukrainian grain and other agricultural products. He called on Southeast Asian countries to take all measures possible to ensure Russia did not play hunger games regarding shipments of Ukrainian grain to the global market.
Earlier in the day Ukraine celebrated recapturing of the city of Kherson. President Zelensky hailed a historic day in retaking the city.
it should be noted that the Russian forces were driven form the outskirts of the capital Kyiv in March and ousted from the northeastern region of Kharkiv in Septemeber as Ukraine’s counteroffensive gained momentum.
