Kulgam: In another attack on civilians in Jammu and Kashmir, a bank employee was shot dead by terrorists in the Kulgam district on Thursday. The deceased has been identified as Vijay Kumar, Bank Manager of Elaqahi Dehati Bank.
Kumar, who hails from Rajasthan, was rushed to a nearby hospital after he was fired upon by the terrorists at the Arreh Mohanpora Branch in the Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir.
He later succumbed to his injuries.”Terrorists fired upon a bank manager at Ellaqie Dehati Bank at Areh Mohanpora in Kulgam district. He received grievous gunshot injuries in this terror incident. He is a resident of Hanumangarh, Rajasthan,” J&K police said.
The area has been cordoned off, they added. Meanwhile, people belonging to the Hindu community employed in Kashmir staged a protest in Jammu demanding security for members of their community.
