Illicit Collection of Fees at Swami Atmanand English Medium Schools; Notice Issued

Balod, CG: Acting swiftly on a complaint that stated an illicit collectionof fess by employees of Swami Atmanand English Medium School in Balod district, CG, the Directoarte of Public Instruction has warned all the District Education Officers and principals.

In a written letter, it stated that books, uniforms, mid-day meals and several other facilities for the students of Swami Atmanand English Medium School were funded by the govt and that the student had to pay no money in order to use them. It warned the school authorities asserting if any complaints were filed following the warning, the concerned Principal and District Education Officer would be liable for punshiment.

The Baghel govt in order to facilitate education services in the state, CM Bhupesh Baghel introduced the Swami Atmanand School in the state. The Swami Atmanand English Medium was launched on 1 Nov 2020 by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Shri Bhupesh Baghel to mark the occasion of statehood day.

The aim of this scheme is to provide a level playing field to bright students from economically weaker sections of society. Currently, 52 Schools have been launched which have state-of-the-art infrastructures such as libraries, ultra-modern computer labs, science labs and a highly trained team of teachers and school heads ensuring all-around development of children along with the opportunity to pursue one’s passion.
