IT Raids in Steel and Iron Units in CG

Chhattisgarh: The IT Dept on Wednesday raided multiple locations including steel and iron companies, and power plants. Officials sources confirmed that the searches at various locations in Raipur, Bilaspur, Kharora and Raigarh were conducted on Wednesday morning.
Offices and Plants of steel and iron companies like TMT, Gravity Sponge and Power Ghakun and Maruti Ferrero were searched in the raid. officials added that the CAs and directors of each establishment were also being questioned.
A heavy security force of CRPF was deployed at the locations to assist the 80-member IT team which arrived at the location in some local vehicles. Tax evasion is being suspected based on the inputs received.
