IT Sleuths Raid Residences of Renowned Bussinesmen Across CG
- Raid is being conducted across Jashpur, Surajpur, Raipur, Karwadha and Durg.
- Vinod Jain, Mukesh Jain, Kanhaiya Agarwal and PWD contractor NC Nahar under scanner.
- Businessmen of Textile and Jewellery Industry also raided.
Raipur: The Income Tax Dept on Wednesday conducted raids at the office and residence of several contractors of the state. Namely, those hailing from Jashpur, Surajpur, Raipur, Karwadha and Durg received a surprise visit by IT officials early on Wednesday morning. Reportedly, these officials arrived late at night on Tuesday and gathered their stance to pay the surprise visit.
Amongst those being raided are renowned contractors Vinod Jain and Mukesh Jain. Search at the residence of both the contractor’s residence RomanQ villa in Raipur and Jashpur is underway respectively. Vinod Jain’s Hirapur based factories are also being searched sources said.
According to sources, a dozen of officers have been simultaneously conducting searches at premises held by Kanhaiya Agarwal and his manager Ashok Ratan. The residence of NC Nahar, PWD contractor in Durg is also being searched, sources confirmed.
Sources reveal, the IT Dept held a high-level meeting on Tuesday, where decisions to unearth truth raiding these contractors was taken. It is being told that several tycoons of the textile and jewellery industry of the state are also being searched extensively.
