Journalist Maheema Resident of Katni Died in RTA

Katni, Madhya Pradesh: The death of a news anchor from Katni, Madhya Pradesh occurred in Raipur on Wednesday afternoon.  The journalist identified as Maheema Sharma met with an accident while on her way to Jamul after a tanker rammed into her vehicle at the Bhilai intersection.

The 24-year-old, daughter of Ashok Rai Sharma relocated to Raipur after completing her secondary education from ACC DAV school. Graduating from a private college in Raipur, she pursued journalism as her career. While her family still resides in Kaimor, Katni brother Atul Sharma stayed in Jamul near Bhilai and worked as an employee in the ACC plant. The body of the deceased was identified by the ID card and sent for post-mortem following which her cremation will be done in Jamul Bhilai, as informed by the Bhilai’s Cantonment police station
