Man Jailed for Sexually Molesting a Minor

Raipur: An attempt to rape accused was served a 14-day judicial remand after being produced in the court today in Raipur. A man hailing from Dihuram Kosle Village Jaunda has been imprisoned by the court on charges of sexually molesting and attempting rape with a minor girl in Gobra Nayapara Raipur. The accused is lodged in the Raipur Central Jail.
The incident is reported to have taken place on February 2nd at 6:30 pm in the evening. The accused had fled the spot after the girl called out for help. A case under section 354 and POSCO Act were registered after the victim’s family lodged a complaint at the Gobra Navapara Police station Raipur.
Taking cognizance, the police engaged a team and successfully caught hold of the accused on February 3rd. The accused was brought before the court after he confessed the crime on interrogation.
