New Delhi: Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the country has reached a new milestone for single-day vaccination against COVID-19, according to Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya. Union Health Minister commended hospital staff for their efforts after visiting Safdarjung Hospital earlier in the day to take stock vaccines. He said exuding happiness, “due to your efforts, the country was able to achieve this milestone. We have done it.”
On Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, the country saw a record level of vaccination. Two crore vaccines had been given out across the country by evening and the total number of people vaccinated against COVID-19 surpassed 2.5 crores.
Mandaviya said, “Under his (Prime Minister’s) remarkable leadership, the country has again achieved a new vaccination milestone.” Mandaviya celebrated the success with health staff at Safdarjung Hospital who were participating in a vaccination programme.
