World: The 34-year-old Argentine footballer is all set to join Paris Saint-Germain, popularly referred to as PSG, after ending his 21 years of partnership with the Spanish club Barcelona last week. As per reports, Lionel Messi has signed a lucrative two-year pact with the French football club. Lionel Messi completed his medical examinations and was reportedly spotted in Parc des Princes wearing a PSG Kit.
Messi revealed that he will opt for number 30; the number he had when he made his debut at his former club, Barcelona FC. “I am excited to begin a new chapter of my career at Paris Saint-Germain. Everything about the club matches my football ambitions,” said Lionel Messi in a statement on the club’s website. He arrived at Le Bourget Airport on Tuesday afternoon and was warmly greeted by thousands of PSG supporters who were present to catch a vivid glimpse and witness their new signing.
The transfer reunited him with his ex-Barca teammate Neymar and the France striker Kylian Mbappe. Neymar posted a picture with Lionel Messi in an Instagram story and captioned it as “back together “while confirming the deal.
