However, these minors shall join duties in the SP office after attaining the age of 18 years.
One of the minors is a 7-year old child. The Chhattisgarh government and police force are taking initiatives to motivate youth to join the armed forces and police department under the ‘Bastar Fighters” Aarakshak Bharti 2021-22. Earlier on August 21, Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) Kondagaon, released the names of 19 out of 136 youth who have successfully completed the training in 29th Battalion ITBP and will join the newly formed ‘Baster Fighters” unit of the state police.
The recruitment from Naxalite-affected areas has increased after the state government decided to relax the minimum qualification for recruitment of constables in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). Especially participation from Bijapur, Dantewada, and Sukama districts increased after the union cabinet decided to relax the minimum educational qualification from 10th Pass to 8th Class pass.
