Raipur: Several Chhattisgarh MLA’s boarded a flight bound to Raipur today evening from Delhi. Sources report that CM Baghel did not convene with any of the MLAs of the party on his trip to Delhi today.

In the past few days, several Congress MLAs had departed to Delhi, amongst whom few cited their visit personal while some addressed it as a meeting with Rahul Gandhi on details of his visit to the state. However, there seemed no dialogue of such to have taken place as the Lakhimpur Kheri incident triggered ruckus in the political arena.

Earlier today CM Baghel was denied landing rights in Lucknow after he had expressed a desire to convene with the violence struck families. Several other political leaders were detained amidst this ruckus over the Lakhimpur Kheri incident. CM Baghel slammed the statements issued by Haryana CM and asserted the UP Govt officials should be sacked for the attitude towards violence that prevailed on Sunday.

Leaders like Devendra Yadav, Chandan Kashyap, Gurudaya Banjare, Ashish Chabbra, Deputy Speaker Manoj Mandavi, MLAs Rekhchand Jain and Anoop Nag were amongst the few who had flown to Delhi in the recent days.
