More Than 11 Lakh Patients Benefited Under Mukhyamantri Slum Swasthya Yojana

Raipur: The Mukhyamantri Slum Swasthya Yojana’s Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) are not only giving regular check-ups, treatment, and medicine to those living in slums and urban regions of Chhattisgarh, but they are also assisting in the management of the coronavirus infection. Until now, 17029 camps have been established under the scheme since its commencement. The fact that 11, 35,225 people have been treated so far, 2, 19,386 patients have had lab testing for a better diagnosis, and 9, 46,567 people have been prescribed necessary drugs, is a tribute to this achievement. On State Foundation Day, November 1st, 2020, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel launched the Mukhyamantri Slum Swasthya Yojana in the presence of MP Rahul Gandhi.

60 MMUs with modern equipment provide health services. Along with MBBS doctors, pharmacists are present for free medicine distribution, lab technicians are ready for free lab testing, and ANM and MMU drivers are on hand to assist patients in the camp. Blood, sputum, tuberculosis, thyroid, malaria, typhoid, and other diseases are all tested at these camps by competent lab technicians using cutting-edge equipment. MMU ensures the availability of 200 different drugs, such as paracetamol, brufen, metformin, iron, folic acid, ORS, tetanus injection, rabies injection, and so on.

CM Baghel lauded the officers, personnel, and District Collector of the Urban Administration and Development Department, as well as the MMU team, for successfully treating 11 lakh patients. In Raipur about 1.26 lakh from 15 MMU, in Durg about 35000 from 4 MMU, in Bhilai about 34000 from 3 MMU, in Rajnandgaon about 33000 from 4 MMU, in Bilaspur about 51000 from 4 MMU in Ambikapur, about 26000 from 4 MMU availed health services from MMU.
