Balaghat: Naxalites killed a youth, named as Lalu Singh Dhurve on suspicion of being an informer in Balaghat today. Assistant Superintendent of Police, Aditya Pratap Singh said that the murder of the young man is suspected to be an informer.

Lalu Dhurve was a resident of village Jala and the incident happened at Pathri outpost under Malajkhand police station of Balaghat. On receiving information, the police personnel and security forces reached the spot and gathered preliminary information in this regard. The police also found a note written by Naxalites near the body of the villager which read death penalty for those who help police or become a part of police network. Efforts are now on to verify the details of the incident.

Additional SP of Naxal Cell Aditya Pratap Singh said that the police is also getting such information. Villagers and relatives are being contacted. The Naxalites escaped by throwing pamphlets near the spot. A pamphlet was found blood-soaked near the body of the informer.

Earlier in March Naxalites killed a Daivebho employee of the Forest Department on the suspicion of being an informer on the Samnagar road near Mukki Gate of Kanha National Park.
