NCB Seized 1,127 Kg Marijuana From Nanded, 2 Held
- 1,127 kilograms of marijuana was seized from Nanded today.
- The contraband was brought from Hyderabad which is priced at Rs 5. 63 crore.

Mumbai: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Monday seized 1,127 kilograms of marijuana in Maharashtra. The contraband, which was brought into the state from Hyderabad, was confiscated by the Mumbai NCB from Nanded. Reportedly, the contraband is priced at Rs 5, 63 crores. As per officials, 2 NCB sleuths received a tip-off stating that contraband was being brought into the state from Andhra Pradesh. Acting on the tip-off, the officials intercepted a truck at Manjra and seized marijuana.
However, earlier in the day, the NCB team claimed to have seized 1500 kgs of ganja near Erandol in Maharashtra’s Jalgaon district. According to the report, two people were apprehended for questioning. Additionally, it was believed that the contraband was being brought from Andra Pradesh’s Visakhapatnam. Later, the revised and corrected details were shared.
“Acting on specific information our team laid a trap and intercepted the vehicle as it arrived, the cannabis was stored in gunny bags inside the truck and it was to be supplied to different parts of the state, NCB zonal director, Sameer Wankhede said. The NCB intensified its probe against drug trafficking after October 2nd when the agency conducted a raid on a cruise party held off the Mumbai coast and recovered drugs. The NCB also took several persons, including Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan in custody.
