One Officer from Chhattisgarh Amongst Those Dead in Manipur Attack

Raipur: As per the information given in by sources amongst those dead in the Manipur ambush was an officer from Chattisgarh. Baghel expressed grief over the Manipur ambush, while interacting with the local media today he said, ” One Chhattisgarh officer martyred in Manipur attack. His sacrifice won’t go in vain. I extend my condolences to the family…: Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel on the attack in Churachandpur, Manipur this afternoon.
Taking to twitter PM Modi also expressed condolences to the deceased writing, ” Strongly condemn the attack on the Assam Rifles convoy in Manipur. I pay homage to those soldiers and family members who have been martyred today. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten. My thoughts are with the bereaved families in this hour of sadness.”
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh cited the incident a ‘cowardly attack’ and tweeted “The nation has lost 5 brave soldiers including CO 46 AR and two family members.”
Meanwhile, President Ramnath Kovind addressing the gathering at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, Delhi flagged ,the attack on Assam Rifles convoy as a cowardly attack and recommended unreserved condemnation. “This cowardly act reaffirms our resolve to root out terror in all its forms and manifestations, he further added.Several leaders from the opposition slammed the Modi Govt over the attack. Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi said, ” The terrorist attack on the army convoy in Manipur once again proves that the Modi government is not capable of protecting the nation. My condolences to the those killed in action and condolences to their families. The nation will remember your sacrifice. ” The entire nation awats justice,” tweeted West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee tweeted.
