‘Unity in Diversity’ Festival to Celebrate Modi’s 72 B’day; President and Others Extend Wishes

New Delhi: Birthday wishes poured in for PM Modi as he turned 72 on Saturday. Political leaders from across the spectrum wished PM Modi on his birthday and prayed for his good health and prosperity.
President Droupadi Murmu said in a tweet, “Hearty congratulations and best wishes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his birthday. I wish that the nation-building campaign being carried out by you with incomparable hard work, dedication and creativity, continues to progress under your leadership. I wish that God bless you with good health and long life.” (sic)
Union Home Minister Amit Shah tweeted- I wish him a very happy birthday and I pray to God for his good health and long life.
The opposition also did not shy away from wishing Modi on this big day.
Meanwhile, BJP preps to organize a seriea of events to celebrate their leaders birthday for over a fortnight. The party will organise ‘unity in diversity’ festivals, blood donation drive, cleanliness drive across the country as part of its fortnight-long ‘seva’ campaign to mark PM Modi’s birthday. The campaign will begin on Modi’s birthday on September 17 and conclude on October 2, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
The party will undertake plantation drive, cleanliness drive, and awareness campaigns for water conservation during the fortnight-long campaign. BJP workers will also distribute equipment among the people with disability, promote khadi products, and organise free health checkup camps during this period.
As of today, PM Modi departed to Kuno from Gwalior where he will release the Cheetas that arrived to India Saturday morning under what is being called the wolrds first wildlife inter continental translocation. Following this he will address the nation on the arrival of the big cats. He will next address a conference of women self-help groups in Madhya Pradesh. PM Modi will then address students from ITIs at the first ever Deekshant Samaroh on the occasion of Vishwakarma Jayant.
In the evening, PM Modi will launch the important National Logistics Policy and will round off his public engagements.
