Naxalites are continuously registering their presence in various areas of the district and are constantly trying to carry out any major incident. The Naxalites had planted an IED bomb with the intention of harming the police and security forces in the Dhur Naxal-affected Katgaon forest of Koylibeda block of the district. The dog was killed in the explosion that took place. On Saturday, BSF personnel went out for a Naxal patrol search. During the search, the Naxalites reached the spot in the forest of Katgaon.
